Minnie Jackson

The beautiful sainted life of Minnie Jackson began its mortal span on October 11th, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois. She was one of 7 children of the lineage of Lucy and Elmo Vasser. Minnie was educated in the Chicago Public School system and united in holy and matrimony to Nathaniel B. Jackson. The two then moved to Oakland, California. There Minnie was well known in the community where she was a business owner. Minnie was a member of Elmhurst United Methodist Church for over 30 years and a songstress for the Lord. There she was a class leader, and member of the financial committee. She was also very active with the East Oakland Senior Center serving on the Board of Directors and several other committees. Minnie transcended into eternity, Monday, September 21st, 2020. She will be fondly remembered by many but most dearly by her sister: Ayds Sims, brother: Ezekiel Vasser, sons: Lincoln Michael and Duke Jackson, daughter: Michele Jackson and nieces: Janet Swann, Audrey Griffin and many other relatives and friends.
