Tiny Burns Lucien

Tiny was born January 29, 1917 in Greenville, Mississippi. The daughter of General George Burns and Malinda Hilliard Burns. She was the third of eight sisters, Priscilla, Artilla, Tiny, Alberta, Willie, Rosalie, Cora and Ruth. In 1927, the family arrived in Oakland, California, after the great flood in Mississippi. She graduated from Oakland Technical High School and then attended college. In 1938, Tiny married Stanley Lucien, who was born in San Francisco. The family was moved to Berkeley, California. In 1939, their son Donald Stephen Lucien was born. In 1941, they built and resided in their home in Berkeley. Their daughter Jacqueline Marie Lucien was born in 1943. Tiny was very entrepreneurial and invested in real estate
